I had a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich for lunch. It’s usually pounded so it’s bigger than the bun and is considered the state sandwich for Indiana, where I live. I was curious if there was a similar Korean dish. Looking forward to trying this recipe!

Yes of course! The same way! Thin the chicken out evenly by gently pounding and do the same process.

Same as what’s found here but with cheese inside!! I’ve never been able to find it outside of Korea and people seem to think I’m an idiot asking for “Italian” Korean food….

Have you ever made it?

I absolutely LOVE tonkatsu! Years back, when I was out of “bottled tonkatsu sauce”, I had to call a neighbor for a substitute. She’s Japanese, and told me a simple fix, hope this helps for folks who can’t find bottled tonkatsu sauce:

1/4 c low sodium soy sauce
1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c ketchup

In small bowl, slowly whisk all until it becomes a homogenous consistency. Enjoy!

We fry it on the pan and add a piece of butter for this amazing flavor 😀
