Thank you so much for the kind words! Happy to hear you’ve been making Korean dishes that bring you back fond memories of Korea. I usually use Korean rice vinegar for Korean cooking, but any clear vinegar is fine. For dishes like this, apple cider vinegar works well too.

What kind of vinegar do you use in this recipe? Just normal spirit vinegar? Have been trying lots of these recipes after spending 2 years in Korea, and they take me straight back! Fantastic site.

I cannot find only noodles in H-Mart :(. They only have noodle kit with very little noodles in it. Do you know what the brand names are for these type of noodles? Thank you!

What can we use to substitute corn syrup? Can I substitute honey or some type of sweetener/sugar instead?

Thank you!

Yes it does say ì«„ë©´. Green cabbage kimchi? Use it in dishes like tteokbokki, dak galbi, dumplings, tteokbokki, and porridge. Shredded cabbage is great as salad with a simple dressing. A nice side to tonkatsu.

Does the package of noodles say ì«„ë©´ on it? Or would it say something else? I normally love to browse when shopping for new ingredients, but want to respect social distancing and shop as quickly as possible.

Also- can you recommend to me any additional Korean recipes that use cabbage or shredded cabbage? I have lots to use up.

Thank you!! I love choosing 2 recipes/week (or more) from your site and trying them with my family. They are always delicious!

Either one will work with just different textures and flavors. Enjoy!

I have some soba noodles – both wheat and buckwheat ones. Do you think I could use them. Can’t go anywhere just now and there are no Korean stores close enough.
