Yum! I used a mix of fresh shitake and king oyster mushrooms. Reduced the gochujang to 1/3 for my toddler who hasn’t learnt to eat spicy food, and she kept asking for more!

No you don’t fry the peppers. Just drop them in when you mix the mushrooms with the sauce.

I made this tonight with dried shiitake mushrooms. I added a red bell pepper and Korean hot peppers (not really hot) and it was delicious. I doubled the recipe and added a bit more corn syrup and mirin (needed to empty the bottle 😂). I love all of your recipes. I feel like you’re my friend. Thank you! Debra
