Definitely the best website for easy and very detailed Korean recipes. I recently cooked 미역국 and 돼지갈비찜 for my husband’s birthday. As I am Australian and don’t know much about cooking Korean food, it was nice to learn. I will definitely try to cook more recipes.
감사합니다.

I wanted to write you to let you know just how much i appreciate your efforts in making the world of Korean food and cooking available through your website.
I came to Korean food quite late, having discovered this world in my 50’s, but that does not mean i am a casual guest at this table. I LOVE Korean food, passionately, and forever, and i’m very thankful to you for helping make it possible for me to explore Korean cooking in my own kitchen. Every year around New Year, i take a look back and see what has been the most important discovery or change in my kitchen the past year. This year it has been the discovery of your vegan kelp-mushroom broth! Unassuming, but oh so important. Thank you!
Today i wanted to tell you how i use a particular recipe of yours that i just love…deulkkae sundubu, which i do make sometimes exactly according to recipe, but more often as a soup, either a starter soup or a main. I quadruple the recipe, add only ¼ tofu, thick slice and add the shitake mushrooms from the broth, and voilá, beautiful soup. And i use this soup out of context. It accompanies my Canadian main dishes on my supper table, it has shown up in the company of quick mexican dishes, enchiladas, nachos, or been served alongside perogies. And we see it at all times of the day. This soup/stew has been a quick self-serve breakfast for my grown kids, an easy yet tasty lunch for myself, an emergency meal when my halal eating friends show up unexpectedly and i’ve cooked a definitively non halal supper, and a relaxed meal shared with girlfriends, not to mention a life saver quick stand alone supper after a hectic day. It’s even a great midnight snack while movie watching with my kids. It is now a family recipe and will be included in the family recipe book i will put together and hand down to my kids! I will, of course, credit you.
I hope that you enjoyed hearing how your recipe has entered the lives of myself and my kids. One of these days i’ll send along our favourite dhal (lentil) recipe to you, if you are interested. It is also an unassuming recipe, but a fundamental one in Bangladeshi cuisine (my hubby is from Bangladesh). If you are a fan of indian food, you will probably enjoy it.
Thanks once again
Donna
